Martha Clancy has won international recognition for her harp playing. She
won the All-Ireland Harp Championship and the U.S. Championship of the Scottish
harp in the same year, the only American to have held both titles. Clancy
has been a musical director at the famous Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Inquirer calls her "A welcome addition to the stage". She
is on the faculty of a music school outside of Philadelphia and has many
private harp students as well.Martha has published her arrangements
internationally.
In addition to music, Martha holds a B.A. in Organizational management and
an advanced degree in nursing. She is particularly interested in music therapy
in the use of the harp as a therapeutic instrument. Clancy has been listed
in "Who's Who in America" and profiled in "Who's Who of American Women" and
"Who's Who on the East Coast" because of her varied accomplishments.
Martha appears regularly on radio, television and QVC cable network where
they feature her recordings on compact discs and cassettes. She performs
at the Trump Plaza and Trump Castle in Atlantic City as well as the Philadelphia
Art Museum. People of all ages and nationalities enjoy the beautiful sounds
of the harp, the most ancient of all instruments.
